We revive the classic 90s sound with rolling basslines, hypnotic melodies and soul-expanding energy. Every release is a labour of love, created for those who still feel the real magic of Goa Trance.
The name is no coincidence. "Trance" once meant something sacred – a portal, a medicine, a way to connect to something bigger. In the 90s, Goa wasn't a genre. It was healing.
Layered melodies that lifted you, rolling acid that moved your body, spacey atmospheres that healed something deep inside. That is why we exist:
Nine years ago, I hit rock bottom. Severe burnout had completely drained my energy, and soon after came a cancer diagnosis that turned my world upside down. PTSD and ongoing health struggles made even the simplest days feel impossible.
In the middle of all that darkness, I rediscovered Goa-Trance. Those rolling basslines, hypnotic melodies and expansive synths didn't just bring back memories – they brought back life.
Healing through community
What started as small healing gatherings with old friends slowly grew. Seeing familiar faces smile, dance and reconnect on the dancefloor brought back parts of myself I thought were gone forever.
Those intimate nights evolved into Origin Of Trance Parties in Copenhagen – events dedicated to classic Goa-Trance, acid influences and that unmistakable 90s spirit. The parties proved that music and community can rebuild what life has broken.
Origin Of Trance Records is born from deep gratitude: to the music that pulled me through, to the friends who showed up without hesitation, and to everyone who has danced with us.
This label exists to release pure, heartfelt Goa-Trance with depth and emotion. It is not about trends or mainstream success. It is about creating a home for sounds that help people feel, heal and find light again.
With respect and love,
Stefan, Rasmus
